Rachel Burns

I have been at Morecrofts since 1995 and became a partner in 2001.

I qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and since that time have specialised in Family Law. I have a particular interest in adoption and children law and have been able to develop a niche practice in these areas particularly over the last 12 years.

I became an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel in 1996 which means I am accredited to represent children in proceedings before the family court.

I am also a member of Resolution which is an organisation for Family Lawyers in the UK. I have been accredited as a specialist family Lawyer with Resolution since 2001 with my recognised specialisms in the areas  of children law and advocacy.

I was delighted to take on the role as legal adviser to Nugent Care in 2014. I am also a trustee of Merseyside Domestic Violence Service.
