I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Private Client team.

Having joined Morecrofts in 2007, I qualified as a solicitor in 2013 after completing my training with the firm.

I specialise in all aspects of Private Client work, including the preparation of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, Trusts, and Inheritance Tax planning.

I help clients prepare Wills to ensure their wishes are followed after they pass away, as well as advise on and prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney to assist with the management of property and financial affairs, as well as health and welfare decisions, should they become unable to make decisions themselves in the future.

I also support families with the administration of estates, whether there a valid Will is in place or where someone has died intestate. This includes advising executors, administrators, and trustees on their duties and responsibilities, helping to reduce personal liability and ensuring matters are dealt with as smoothly and efficiently as possible. I also provide advice in relation to probate applications and inheritance tax matters.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is working with individuals and families  people from all walks of life and supporting them during some of the most difficult periods in their lives. Whether assisting families caring for elderly relatives or helping those who are recently bereaved, I aim to ease the burden by guiding them through the legal process with empathy, reassurance, and practical support.

I am  incredibly passionate about the work I do, particularly when it comes to supporting clients through what is often a deeply emotional and overwhelming time. I pride myself on being approachable, attentive and compassionate while providing clear, practical, and straightforward legal advice. I understand that clients can often feel overwhelmed by grief or difficult personal circumstances and I strive to provide reassurance and support while handling matters sensitively and efficiently. It is extremely rewarding to know that I can make a positive difference for clients at such an important time in their lives.

I am an Affiliate Member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), the leading professional body for practitioners specialising in inheritance and succession planning. www.step.org

I am also an accredited member of the Association of  Lifetime Lawyers, an organisation dedicated to supporting older and vulnerable people through specialist legal advice. Membership recognises legal professionals who demonstrate expertise and a compassionate approach in areas such as later life planning, mental capacity, and care-related matters. www.lifetimelawyers.org.uk

I am a Dementia Friend, which has strengthened my understanding of the challenges faced by those living with dementia and their families, and helps me communicate in a supportive and effective way.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places and spending time with family and friends. I love beach walks, sunsets and good food  (although I definitely prefer eating to cooking!)
