I am a Licensed Conveyancer (Specialist Property Lawyer) and the head our Property Department. I deal with all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing.
I have always been passionate about looking after my clients’ interests and ensure the best advice is always given.
When the Land Registry introduced electronic applications for registration of transfers, on the day this service became available I was the first person to make an application to the Birkenhead Land Registry. This has vastly reduced the time it takes the Land Registry to complete registration of transfers and mortgages. Before the Law Society brought in the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) I prepared standard conveyancing documents which came to be used by 19 local firms of solicitors to improve the conveyancing process Also I have appeared on Pete Price’s Citytalk phone in answering listeners’ questions on property matters.
I have been employed in the legal sector for more than 46 years starting as an office junior in a Liverpool firm of solicitors. For 45 of those years I have been involved in conveyancing but I still have a sense of humour!. However there are still things to learn and improve upon and I am keen to pass on my knowledge and experience to more junior member staff.
I have been married for over 40 years to the same woman. We have two grown up children and three fabulous grandchildren.
My real hero is my late Dad. Since the mid 1960s my sporting hero has been the late, great Alan Ball – My Dad thought he was pretty good too.
