Jo-anne Lomax

I am a Partner at Morecrofts, heading up our matrimonial and domestic abuse teams.

I also specialise in Children Law, which includes public law children cases, private law cases, special guardianship matters and adoption.

I do a great deal of work for children’s guardians and spend a lot of time in court as an advocate in children matters.

I am an accredited Children Panel specialist, an accredited Resolution Specialist.

I began my career at Morecrofts as a family clerk, later qualifying as a solicitor in 2004. In 2021 I became an equity partner at the firm.

I am an active member of Liverpool Law Society, Resolution and Merseyside Family Justice Committee.

I work closely with Liverpool University mentoring law students and supporting their law clinic. I also set and mark exams for Resolution accreditation.

I am married have two children, two dogs and love walking, crochet and singing. I also have a granddaughter who I unashamedly dote on.
