I am a Senior Associate Solicitor at Morecrofts, based in our city centre office, with extensive experience in both commercial litigation and commercial drafting. Since joining Morecrofts in 2013, I have developed a strong reputation for providing tailored, strategic advice to individual clients and businesses who face a wide range of legal challenges.

With a focus on commercial litigation, I regularly assist clients in resolving complex matters, including contract disputes, debt recovery, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, employment-related injunctions, contentious probate, trusts of land (TOLATA), commercial landlord-tenant matters, and collective enfranchisement.

In a commercial drafting context, I provide comprehensive services to help clients safeguard their interests and minimise future risks. This includes drafting and advising on terms and conditions, partnership agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, privacy policies, commercial leases, and settlement agreements. My work is focussed on protecting businesses and facilitating smooth and secure operations, reducing the likelihood of legal disputes arising.

I take pride in delivering a highly personalised service to each client. Whether I am resolving disputes or drafting legal documents, I ensure that the advice I provide is not only effective but that it also aligns with each client’s specific goals. My approach is client-centric, focusing on delivering practical, achievable outcomes that support long-term success.

Outside of work I am a father of two, and I am an avid football fan and a keen runner.

No-fault Evictions to be Banned

For many years it has remained on the government’s agenda to ban ‘no-fault’ evictions within the England’s private rental sector. Such evictions can occur after the initial fixed term of the tenancy has ended. Landlords can provide two months’ written notice, if they have complied with the various regulations and requirements. It is known as […]

Who pays the legal costs in litigation?

The most common presumption I come across is that, if your litigation case goes to a hearing and you are successful, then your opponent must reimburse you in full for your legal costs. In my experience, many prospective clients expect this to be an automatic rule. It makes sense, right? You have incurred expense to take another […]

Litigants in person and the value of representation

Over the past year I have noticed a significant increase in the number of people representing themselves in complex civil litigation proceedings. While having to deal with litigants in person is nothing new, the majority of unrepresented parties I encountered in the past typically involved small claims (with the odd exception). Small claims are monetary […]
