Morecrofts Netball Club won the Inclusion Award at the North West Netball One Awards.

The team were recognised for their initiatives to bring netball to wide and diverse groups within the North West region.
Morecrofts have supported the netball club since 2017 and equipped the team with innovative new kits and equipment in 2023, introducing a game-changing option for players to choose shorts over the traditional netball dress.
Captain Rachael Lomax said: “I am incredibly honoured that we have won the Inclusion award at the North West One Awards. Competing against such wonderful clubs and individuals makes this recognition even more special. Our fully funded inclusive kit options, the ‘Morecrofts on the Mend’ support group for injured players, and initiatives to support disabled players, neurodivergent players, and players who are parents, as well as our proactive efforts in women’s health education, reflect our unwavering commitment to inclusivity. This award inspires us to continue our work and further our mission of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all our players.”
The team have grown over the years from just one team to seven, with age ranging from 16- 60 years old. New players are welcome to attend training sessions at Archbishop Blanch School every Wednesday 7.30pm-9pm.
