Nearly £2,200,000 will be invested in five local organisations to provide specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) over the next two years. A further £1,840,00 has been awarded to 11 domestic abuse services delivering vital community-based support for victims and survivors across Merseyside.

It has been announced that teachers will be given training to spot the signs of misogyny and tackle it in the classroom as part of the government's strategy to halve violence against women and girls within the next decade.
