School Admissions Appeals

If you are unhappy with the child’s school placement for primary or secondary school, you have the right to appeal the decision. We are able to assist you with this process. We can also assist you if you wish to appeal against an in-year school transfer decision for your child, if your request for them to be transferred to another school has been rejected.

Advice – £450 plus VAT

In the initial advice stage you will be offered a meeting to detail the whole appeal process. We can tell you what action to take and what evidence you will need to collect to support your appeal. We can also advise on your prospects of success to allow you to make an informed decision on if you wish to proceed. We will follow up the meeting with our advice in writing so that you can decide how you are going to move forward.

Preparing the appeal – £850 plus VAT (including the initial advice and interview)

If you decide that you wish to proceed to take action we can assist in preparing the appeal and gathering advice. We can correspond with the school or local authority for you and prepare written grounds of appeal for you to submit and to rely upon at the hearing.

The whole appeal package (including representation) –  £1850 plus VAT

If you would like us to represent you at the appeal we can attend with you and put your case to the appeal panel, dealing with any questions they raise. We will ensure that your case is presented in the most favourable way. Additional travel expenses may be chased if the hearing is not in the immediate Liverpool area.
