We are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join our busy and growing Family Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate solicitor to develop their career in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, working closely with experienced practitioners and supporting clients through often complex and sensitive matters.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a varied caseload while delivering excellent client care and contributing to the continued success of the department.
Key Requirements:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters under supervision, progressing towards managing cases independently.
- Advise and assist clients on divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters, cohabitation disputes, separation agreements, pre- and postnuptial agreements, and domestic abuse injunctions.
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, court applications and witness statements.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, commercial advice to clients.
- Attend client meetings, court hearings, mediations and counsel conferences.
- Maintain accurate file management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and client care.
- Assist with business development activities, networking events and marketing initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, or due to qualify imminently.
- Completed a seat in Family Law during training contract or gained relevant family law experience.
- Strong knowledge of family and matrimonial law principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Professional, empathetic and approachable manner.
