Child Protection Conference
A Child Protection Conference (or Case Conference) is a meeting called by the Local Authority when they have been alerted to concerns about a child or have ongoing concerns themselves.
The Child Protection Conference is the forum in which the Local Authority considers with all of the other agencies involved in the child’s life, such as education, health, and police, what they will do as a result of the concerns identified.
There are numerous options available to the Local Authority at the conclusion of the Case Conference and these will depend upon the circumstances of the individual case.
At Morecrofts, our specialist family law team will be able to advise you in this area; in some cases we have been able attend the conference or at least make representations on your behalf. If you involve us at the outset we are able to provide support assistance and constructive advice.
