I am a Solicitor in the Private Client team. I qualified in April 2020 after completing my Training Contract with Morecrofts.
I assist clients in putting their affairs in order and deciding where their assets will go when they die. I also advise clients with the requirements of Attorney applications which allows us or their appointed Attorney to deal with matters on their behalf should they no longer be able to do this themselves during their lifetime.
I help families make applications to the Court of Protection to be appointed as a Deputy for a family member who has lost the capacity to manage their money and financial affairs themselves. I also make applications to the Court of Protection for a Professional Deputy to act, should the person have no family members who are able to help.
I enjoy being able to assist people at certain times in their lives, whether that be those caring for elderly relatives, people who are putting their affairs in order, those who may need a Professional Deputy, Lay Deputy or Attorney and those who are recently bereaved. I love that I am able to support people through the hard times and provide the assistance and care that they need.
I am a Dementia Friend which has assisted me in understanding the condition and I now feel better prepared to be able to effectively communicate with clients and their families.
Outside of work I love to travel, bake and spend time with my family and friends.
Kate is currently on maternity leave. To speak to a colleague who can help with the same matters, please click here.
