I am the Business Operations Partner at Morecrofts Solicitors. I began my career here as a Legal Secretary in June 1994. I progressed to supervisor, then Assistant to the Practice Manager in 1995. In February 1997 I started my role as Practice Manager and thoroughly enjoyed this role for many years. I achieved one of my lifetime goals by becoming a Partner in December 2014.
I went to Bolton University having studied “A” Level Textiles. I started a course in Manufacturing Management, thinking it was going to be about Textiles Manufacturing, and ended up doing engineering inc: welding, CAD, etc. Having completed the qualification which changed its title to Engineering and Business Studies (B.Eng). I went to copy my c.v. in a Solicitors office to get my first job, and was offered a job as an office junior – which I took, so that I wouldn’t be “on the dole”. That is how my career started in the Legal World !
Having achieved my ambition to become a Partner, I now strive to continue the good work of Partners past and present, to ensure Morecrofts success for the future. Continuing my professional development, I also achieved the Post Graduate in Legal Practice Management Qualification in 2015 together with fellow Partners from the practice, David Parr and Alison Lobb.
I am Deputy chair of the Liverpool Commercial Business Improvement District (BID) as well as a board memeber of the Liverpool BID Executive Board.
