Begin the process to recovery

By Carole Brennan

A recent Gallup study of 131,159 Americans found that those who are separated suffer more daily stress than either those who are married or divorced.

Dan Whitters, one of the Authors of the Report says that one reason behind that may be the lack of closure is very stressful.  Once couples divorce they can move on with their lives and then he says, “start dragging themselves out of that wellbeing hole they were in during the process of separation.”

It does seem that getting things resolved legally is a good way to start the process of recovery from separating with your partner or spouse and that putting it off may keep the level of stress going for much longer than it needs to.

Getting all the information you need to make sure that what happens is fair is important towards recovery and getting good quality legal advice and meeting with an experienced mediator will help couples move on with their lives.
