Collaborative Law

Sometimes talking things through can seem the hardest challenge of all. Often, relationships break down with feelings of hurt, bitterness and anger, but almost always the very best solutions are those which you can work out for yourselves together, which are acceptable to everyone involved.

Collaborative Law is all about reaching solutions together to ease the pain of relationship breakdown and provide the best chance of building a brighter future for you and your family.

The traditional route was instructing your lawyers, who would negotiate and sometimes end up in court, which is a long expensive process. The alternative is to sit down with your partner and the solicitors helping each of you, all together in the same room, and work it all out face to face. Rather than dealing through your solicitors, you work with them to reach the best solutions for you and your family.

The advantages are that you don’t have to involve the courts to reach resolution. The collaborative law solution is a very dignified approach which helps to retain amicable relationships between the parties, especially where children are involved.

This approach is best for couples who genuinely want to seek a fair solution, and want to minimise the pain of family breakdown. At Morecrofts, we have a large number of collaboratively trained lawyers and are one of the first firms in the North West to pilot this form of resolution.

We understand how worrying legal costs can be so have a range of payment options available to suit your budget and needs.
