If you are an employer, I can help minimise the stress and risk associated with employing people and help you to have a workforce that reflects the needs of your business.
If you are an employee, I can make sure you have the best opportunity of achieving your desired outcome. If you have a
settlement agreement, I can advise you with a view to achieving a favourable end result for you.
I specialise in negotiating severance terms for employees. If it becomes necessary to pursue complaints as far as the
employment tribunals, I have a wide experience of representing clients at tribunal.
I frequently act for groups of employees in claims against their employer where the employer has failed to carrying out the necessary consultation when making redundant 20 or more employees. Even if the employer is insolvent, I can help the employees recover payments that are rightfully theirs.
I successfully represented the Claimant in the case of
Dunn v The Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management as advocate in the Employment Appeal Tribunal in a ground-breaking case which addressed the issue of discrimination of married persons.
My career ambition is, continue to grow the employment and HR workload of the firm and the size of the team year on year.
A particular success involved my acting for a medical practitioner who had been excluded by the Trust that employed her. It appeared that the Trust was intent on terminating her employment but as a result of the arguments we advanced, the panel determined that steps should be taken to bring her back to work, which had been her wish all along. The outcome was the successful return to work of a highly skilled medical professional, whose career would effectively have been ruined had she been dismissed. In terms of successful outcomes, this therefore ranks very highly.
I am married with two sons and two cats and a hero of mine is Morrissey.
