Biography
Alison heads our Civil Litigation team, is a partner and on the Board of Management. She specialises in Personal Injury, Education, Public Law and Contentious Probate. In particular, Alison works on complex personal injury cases including claims for survivors of sexual and physical abuse, negligence claims against social services, special education needs and judicial reviews of local authorities with a particular interest in disability discrimination. Alison recently settled a claim against a Care Provider and Primary Care Trust in the total sum of £3,500,000 gross in respect of catastrophic injuries to a person in their care.
Alison is accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) as a Senior Litigator, a member of ACAL (Association of Child Abuse Lawyers) and ELAS (Education Law Authority). As well as practising law, Alison is a member of the General Committee of Liverpool Law Society and Editor of their monthly publication “Liverpool Law”, and she also finds time to Deputy Chair the North Liverpool Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
