Biography
Is the Managing Partner of Morecrofts LLP and has been in that position for the past six years. Her specialist area of legal work is Family covering all aspects of Divorce, Child Care and Adoption. She has been on the Child Care Panel of Solicitors since 1985 dealing with children in the care system and the problems of substance abuse, neglect and non-accidental injury.
She is accredited by Resolution as a Specialist lawyer in adoption. She has a particular interest in international adoptions and was involved in the reported case of Flintshire County Council v. K (2001) 2 FLR 476 and has dealt with more than 300 adoptions over the years. She undertakes work in complex divorce and child disputes and has dealt with financial settlements, co-habitation and in developing the interesting area of ante nuptial agreements.
She sees her job as continuing to develop the firm so that Morecrofts can provide high quality service to clients in four locations across Merseyside. In 2007 she was presented with the Managing Partner Award by the Liverpool Law society. She was elected President of the Liverpool Law Society in 2005 and is a past local Chairman of Resolution. She sits as a fee paid part time Judge of the Tribunal Service.
