Merseyside law firm Morecrofts Solicitors have embarked on a month long fundraising campaign to raise invaluable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team, which is made up of over 100 staff, have been busy whipping up a storm in the kitchen for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning as well as launching their very own ‘Make a Will’ week, which will see the company waiving their fee for Will-making in return for a minimum £50 donation to their nominated charity.
Helen Broughton, Managing Partner at Morecrofts, said: "Macmillan Cancer Support is our charity of the year and we are doing everything that we can to help raise as much money as possible to help their cause. The work that they do is invaluable.
“We hope to see as many new and familiar faces as possible at our coffee mornings on September 30 between 9.30am - noon and I’m certainly looking forward to sampling the homemade fare on offer!”
For the past several years, Morecrofts have taken part in numerous coffee mornings, quiz nights and sporting events to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, whose donations make up 96% of their total income.
Gillian Wilson from Macmillan Cancer Support said: “It’s great when we hear from companies like Morecrofts that are doing so much to help us as their donations are greatly needed for us to continue the work we do.
"This is a great example of a local business that has gone above and beyond for us and we would like to thank them for everything they do.”
